How to use the heaters and furniture in the Main Hall and Room of Requirement

To light the pilot (Check that it isn't already lit before doing this)

1) Make sure top button is pointing to 0

2) Make sure bottom button is on number 1

3) Press top button in and twist it slowly anticlockwise to the picture of a small flame you will hear a loud click.  Check to see if there is a flame, if there isn't a flame turn back to 0 and turn anticlockwise again until you see one, then keep the buttons pressed in and count to 30.

4) Release button and fully turn anti clockwise to picture of large flame.

To turn up if there is already a pilot light.

1) Turn top button to the larger flame (if not already on it)

2) Turn bottom button to a higher number, you should hear the main burner light with a whoosh

To turn down at the end of your hire.

Turn bottom control knob clockwise to number (1) Then turn top knob to the little flame. this leaves it ready for the next hire to turn up again without lighting the pilot.

Heater Two in the Main hall 

To light the pilot (Check that it isn't already lit before doing this)

Make sure middle control knob is switched to 0

1 Push in fully top left-hand button (marked with red flash) and with the other hand flick in and out the bottom black button.

2 Whilst doing this look into the pilot window to the left of the bottom button. When you see a small flame there you can stop flicking the black button but keep the top left-hand button pressed in to a count of 30.

3 Release the top button you should still be able to see the pilot light through the small glass window.

How to increase the heat if the pilot light is already lit.

1) Turn middle control knob anti clock wise to desired number, you should hear the main flame light with a whoosh.  If nothing check the pilot and got to step 1.

To completely switch main flame and pilot off

Turn middle control knob clockwise to 0 then push top right hand black dotted button in fully and release.

Positioning of our furniture after your hire

This guide is to help you clear the hall so that it is ready for the following hires. Awe have many different types of hire is it's important that you clear the hall using the following guidelines..

You are very welcome to use the furniture in the hall please clean the tables and return them to their original position.  Only use the furniture for the allocated rooms. However, if you have hired both the Main Hall and the Room of Requirement in the same time slot and for the same amount of time, you can move furniture from these rooms, please return them for following hires. 

If you have not hired the Room of Requirement with the Main Hall and vice versa, please leave the allocated furtniture for hires in the relevant rooms. 

Do not move trolleys or tables and leave them obstructing the fire exits!


There will be photographs on the walls to remind you.

Please stack these same type of chairs together in front of the bar in 4 stacks of no more than 8 Chairs.

We have two trollies for the moving of the chairs around the hall. Please use them and do not drag stacked chairs across the main hall floor as this will damage its surface.

Please stack 8 of the larger tables to the side of the bar 7 in the trolly provided and 1 in front. As in the picture.

Behind the curtain there are more chairs for use. Return and chairs used in the position you found them (picture bellow) and then ensure the stage curtain is drawn in front of the chairs when you are finished.

Please stack the the same type of chairs together on the stage to stop them tipping over in two rows, with the blue chairs against the wall and the plastic chairs infront.

You are welcome to roll the trolly into the hall for ease of use. Please return as found.
